 Installation Instructions

1. Securely mount the operator to a reinforced post or pad in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.

2. Install and connect a UL-listed 12?V solar panel (e.g., 40?W), and position it for optimal sunlight exposure.

3. Install a 12?V battery (up to 35?Ah, sold separately) in the internal space provided and hook it up to the power management system.

4. Set limit positions using the V-Flex push-button interface; the operator uses mechanical limit switches for accuracy

5. Install at least one monitored secondary entrapment protection sensor (UL-recognized, 10?kO) such as a photo-beam or edge sensor; it’s required for proper operation.

6. Configure speed and obstruction detection settings; test soft start/stop and ensure smooth gate operation.

7. Use the LCD to monitor battery voltage, solar input, and diagnostic codes regularly.

Safety Notes

• Comply with UL?325 standards—install at least one monitored entrapment protection sensor in all accessible areas or the operator will not run.

• The unit features intelligent obstruction detection—gate will stop/reverse upon hitting obstacles; repeated hits trigger an alarm requiring reset.

• Controls must be installed at least 6 feet away from the gate’s moving parts and out of reach of children.

• The built-in heater allows reliable operation in cold climates (down to -4°F or -20°C depending on model).

• Always disconnect power before servicing and keep warnings/placards visible near the gate

• Ideal for residential driveways with limited or no access to AC power.

• Pair with a 40?W solar panel and 35?Ah battery for reliable off-grid performance.
